VELOCITY is a CORK-1720 fixed keel sport
boat. Unlike other sportboat designs that
have a lighter retractable keel,she is more
stable, equally fast and more predictable in
heavier weather conditions. These traits are
attributed to the modern design of her fixed
keel and hull.
Because of the physical size of some of my
crew I wanted a boat that required less "rail
meat" though was equally challenging and
exhilarating to race. I also wanted a boat
that the "Big Boys" wouldn't overlook. After
our first season the Cork1720 proved up to
the task.
